Where is Sea Fresh located?
Sea Fresh’s BRC certified processing plant is located in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Our seafood is primarily landed (unloaded from the boats) in the Port of Galilee in Narragansett, Rhode Island, at the dock locations of our American Seafood Partners (ASP) partner brands, Handrigan Seafood and The Town Dock.

Is the Sea Fresh processing facility food-safety certified?
Yes, the Sea Fresh North Kingstown, RI, facility is BRC-certified for food safety. This third-party certification verifies the facility’s compliance with globally-recognized food safety, quality, and operational standards. Many of the most respected foodservice and retail sellers and distributors insist on this certification as an indication of quality.
What products does Sea Fresh offer?
Sea Fresh is a packer label, offering private label seafood products for our customers. We specialize in USA-landed, USA-processed Boston Loligo (Doryteuthis pealeii) and also offer Boston Illex (Illex illecebrosus) and a variety of high-quality, imported squid species for white label.
Where does Sea Fresh process its squid and seafood?
Much of Sea Fresh’s squid is processed in its North Kingstown, Rhode Island plant. We are proud to offer this USA-landed, USA-processed product to our customers. We also work with our ASP partner brands and processing partners worldwide.
Does Sea Fresh have a retail market?
Sea Fresh USA is a processor and wholesaler. We do not have a retail market and unfortunately do not do smaller, direct retail sales.
Does Sea Fresh offer their own brand of calamari or squid?
Sea Fresh specializes in private label partnerships. If you are looking for a branded calamari, please visit our partner, The Town Dock (click this phrase to visit their website). They offer nearly the same product portfolio under the brand that chefs ask for by name. If you already partner with us for private label and are interested in adding Town Dock calamari, please reach out to your current Regional Sales representative; our sales team is able to facilitate your purchases of any brand in the American Seafood Partners family.
Who owns Sea Fresh USA?
Sea Fresh USA is under the umbrella of American Seafood Partners family of brands. The full marketing and legal transition to ASP is rolling throughout 2026, but that does not have any noticeable impact our customers, products, operations, or leadership teams.
Does Océano own Sea Fresh USA?
Sea Fresh USA is under the umbrella of American Seafood Partners family of brands. While there are individuals on both the ASP and Océano leadership or investment teams, they are not the same corporate entity. Océano is based in Peru and ASP is an American company.
