About Sea Fresh

Founded in 1981, Sea Fresh USA is a Rhode Island-based squid and seafood brand specializing in private label partnerships. In 2023, we joined the American Seafood Partners family of brands.

At Sea Fresh USA, we are vertically integrated; all aspects of the fishing, unloading, processing, & packing are managed in house.

We work with a dedicated fleet of fishing vessels and unload at the dock in the Port of Galilee, in Narragansett, Rhode Island. We carry a broad portfolio of permits, giving us access to a significant portion of the northeast seafood landings. This access helps our customers manage the unique supply challenges of wild-caught seafood.

We boast a modern processing facility located in nearby North Kingstown, Rhode Island. The production facility is BRC certificated, requiring a rigorous annual inspection and strict compliance with current food production regulations. This state-of-the-art food production facility is busy cleaning squid year round to the variety of specifications requested by our private label partners. 

We specialize in locally-caught calamari is cleaned by hand to each customers’ exactly specifications and frozen immediately. We have both blast and contact freezers. We have specialized in USA-caught, USA-processed Boston Loligo (Doryteuthis pealeii) and also have access to a wide variety of raw materials to suit the needs of our white label customers.
